Over 1000 companies from 70+ countries entered the Citi Tech for Integrity Challenge.
And Wallet.Services made it in the final 15 of the “Cutting Red Tape in Government Transactions” category. On Monday 15th May we will be in Abu Dhabi for the final, competing with start-up and established companies from USA, South Africa, Switzerland, Kenya, Spain, Nigeria, Palestinian West Bank, UAE and Italy.
The Citi Tech for Integrity Challenge is a global open innovation initiative seeking to source tech solutions that promote integrity around the world. Our submission is the SICCAR solution we built for Scottish Government, which simplifies digital interactions between citizens and government services.
Our Managing Director Stuart will be presenting to a judging panel of senior representatives of international Financial Services, Regtech, Technology and Government. The prize includes a financial award, and the opportunity to take the solution into Pilot with CitiBank’s support. This is a huge opportunity for us to accelerate our solution and secure international customers.
On Monday our MD Stuart presented our SICCAR solution to a panel of esteemed judges at the Citi T4I Challenge Demo Day, in the humid surroundings of Abu Dhabi.
Our presentation focussed on the complexity of current interactions with government, and how BlockChain technology can be used to 'Cut the Red Tape' in government. We explained how BlockChain can be applied to increase security, simplicity and integrity; while reducing the opportunity for error, and of course corruption.
Although we didn't win any of the three prizes that were given out on the day, there are numerous prizes awarded in early June, after all of the international demo days have taken place.
